Honda Celebrates in Canada its 10th Million Vehicle

Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM), proudly announced a significant milestone - the production of its 10 millionth vehicle, a 2023 CR-V Touring Hybrid, at the Alliston, Ontario plant. A testament to Canadian industriousness, this achievement is a significant landmark in Honda's history, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and commitment of generations of HCM associates.

Jean Marc Leclerc, President and CEO of Honda Canada, remarked on the monumental occasion. "This achievement underscores the relentless dedication and commitment of generations of HCM associates," he said.

Operating since 1986, the Alliston plant is Honda's solitary manufacturing stronghold in Canada. The facility boasts three plants, providing employment to over 4,200 associates. With an annual production capacity exceeding 400,000 vehicles and 190,000 engines, the site is a powerhouse in Honda's global operations.

Leclerc added, "Since 1986, HCM has been a class leader in Canadian automotive manufacturing and production and is one of Honda's most critical global facilities. It has fortified the local economy and community for decades and will continue to do so for generations to come."

Recently, Honda heralded its transition to electric, commencing production of the CR-V Hybrids. The move aligns with the company's commitment to becoming a fully electric vehicle manufacturer by 2040, highlighting its dedication to sustainable development.
